Maternity Maxi Dress Two Ways
Remember the post I did recently (read it here) on some new PinkBlush goodies? Well it got me thinking about the dress I bought when I discovered PinkBlush for the first time back when I was preggo. I wore one of their maxi dresses to my maternity photoshoot and LOVED it.
Here is how I styled the maxi dress while I was pregnant:PS: this photo was shot by the talented Christan Barker Photography – check her out!!
I really wanted to wear the maxi dress again but since I am no longer preggo, it was too long for me in the front and looked a little frumpy when I initially tried it on. However – once I tied it in the front… total game changer! Knotting your maxi in the front is such a fun trend that can give your outfit more of a casual feel. It was the perfect solution for my current situation! Plus, I love being able to reinvent my clothes – it makes them feel new again and also allows you to save some money (for other clothing on your wish list, obvi!)
This time, I styled my maxi dress with these kicks and a statement necklace similar to this one. I’m also wearing my prescription sunnies in some of the pics. So happy that this dress did not end up sitting dormant in my closet until my next pregnancy – it is too pretty and comfortable to be left behind!
How do you like to reinvent your clothes? I’d love to hear from you!
